Friday night's matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks resulted in one of the most memorable contests of the season thus far.

The Bulls emerged victorious in the quadruple overtime battle, 168-161, with Chicago guard Zach LaVine leading the charge for his team with a huge 47-point performance. He had a particular highlight play on the evening that reminded everyone why he was once the back-to-back NBA All-Star Dunk Contest champion.

It was as if LaVine had an extra boost in mid-air that allowed him to elevate over the outstretched arms of two Hawks defenders. They simply had no chance, and the reaction on the Bulls bench said it all.

Otto Porter Jr. (31 points, 10 rebounds, seven three's) and Lauri Markkanen (31 points, 17 rebounds) were also outstanding for the Bulls, as both guys also eclipsed 53 minutes of action.

On the other side of the fence, it was Hawks rookie sensation Trae Young who went bonkers for Atlanta with a career-high 49 points with six three-pointers and 16 assists. The youngster almost amassed a triple-double of the worst kind with his nine turnovers on the evening.

This is definitely an epic contest that will unquestionably be one of the standouts of the season, and surely, LaVine's above the rim highlight play will be talked about for at least the next couple of days.
