Chicago Bulls' Zach LaVine and Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young gave the fans their money's worth, going back and forth to try to lead their respective teams to victory.

LaVine flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 47 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds to lead the Bulls to a 168-161 win.

Despite the loss, Young went out swinging, scoring 49 points and dishing out 16 assists to go along with eight rebounds.

Both the Hawks and Bulls are out of playoff contention, but it didn't stop their players from going out and showcasing their skills. It was an impressive game, dominated by two phenomenal up and comers.

After successfully recovering from knee injuries, LaVine has now become the Bulls' best player. He's currently averaging 23.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. He's also shooting 46 percent from the season.

As for Young, he strengthened his case for earning Rookie of the Year Honors with his most recent performance. He's putting up 17.8 points, 7.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds while shooting a respectable 41 percent from the field.

Two of the Eastern Conference's brightest young stars just showed what they can do on both ends of the floor, and it is clear that they're putting the league on notice, letting it known through this game that they're ready to take the next step and take over the league.

LaVine and Young will have more performances like this in the future, and as fans, we're witnessing the birth of a new era.
