Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic showed his ranged once again on Sunday with a clutch shot from the logo. With the Sacramento Kings cutting the Mavs' lead to just three with over four minutes to play, the Slovenian wonderboy killed their comeback hopes with that nasty dagger.

The Mavs ended up winning 105-99, with Doncic finishing with 23 points, eight rebounds and 10 assist. Despite pulling off the best play and the turning point of the game, however, Doncic is not satisfied with having to rely with his logo shot.

Luka admitted he has more confidence with his long-range shots à la Stephen Curry, which is not a good thing if he is unable to make his other shots. He made just one of his seven 3-point attempts and went 2-of-6 from the charity stripe.

“More confident [from the logo] than all my 3s and my free throws. I don’t understand how that shot goes in and then all my normal shots can’t go in. I’ve got to work on those normal shots,” Doncic told reporters after the game, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Luka Doncic proved to be “the guy” again for the Mavs, making a difference when it mattered most. While his shooting splits are horrendous, the important thing is they got the W. Now, he has a chance to work on his game without regretting what could have been had they lost.

Dallas improved to 4-2 on the season as they try to keep in the race for the top seeds in the Western Conference. Nonetheless, in order for the Mavs to do so, they will surely need Luka Doncic to be at his absolute best.
