Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has eyes in the back of his head. If you need proof, then look no further than his brilliant assist to Tim Hardaway Jr. against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Midway through the second quarter, the Mavs superstar found himself in the middle of traffic as the Blazers crowded the painted area. As he tried to force his way in to attract the defenders, the Slovenian youngster suddenly dropped an over-the-head assists to an unsuspecting THJ.

Of course, Hardaway Jr. didn't waste the opportunity and space that Luka provided him, draining the triple to cut the Blazers' lead over the Mavs.

If the play looks familiar, it's because Luka Doncic's fellow European and Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic also does it from time to time. He's often described as the best passing big man today for a reason.

Perhaps the Mavs star got some tips from Jokic during the 2021 All-Star Game? After all, both Doncic and Jokic were part of Team LeBron.

Regardless of where Luka got some tips for his spectacular assist, it's not really surprising to see the Mavs guard do it. In fact, recently, his teammate Dorian Finney-Smith shared how great Doncic's passing game is. DFS noted how he's just surprised to find the ball on his hands in the best possible spots.

“He’ll zip it right to you in a matter of seconds, and you’ll be looking crazy with the ball in your hands, it’s the end of the shot clock, and then you have to shoot and you’re like, ‘Damn, I didn’t even know I was going to have that,’” Finney-Smith said, via Callie Caplan of Dallas Morning News.
