Mavs rookie Luka Doncic has pulled off several flashy plays on the court throughout this season, but his latest feat came all the way from the sidelines.
Prior to Wednesday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic decided to take a shot from his seat on the Mavs bench. The Slovenian-born star twirled the ball in his hands a few times, then released it from his seated position. With what seemed to be limited effort, his shot went straight in:

Doncic went on to log 32 minutes against the Wolves, notching 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field (2-of-8 from beyond the arc), 12 rebounds, six assists and one block. However, the Mavs were ultimately defeated, 110-108.
Article Continues BelowDoncic had a look at the game-winning bucket, but he deferred to his teammate and fellow rookie, Jalen Brunson, whose shot missed at the buzzer:
“For me it's not a question,” Doncic told ESPN after Wednesday's loss, referring to his decision to pass the ball to Brunson in the closing seconds. “I trusted him. The whole team trusted him. It was a great shot. Sometimes it's not going to go in.”
It's clear that Doncic has become an integral piece of the future in Dallas. The 20-year-old star has made 71 appearances with the team this season, averaging 21.2 points on 42.7% shooting from the field (32.6% from downtown), 7.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists and a steal in 32.2 minutes per outing.
Doncic and the Mavs will be back in action on Friday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Memphis Grizzlies. Tip-off inside the American Airlines Center is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
