Nikola Jokic is the best player in Denver Nuggets history. That much is clear after the Serbian big man's latest performance in Game 4 of their playoff series with the Golden State Warriors.

The Joker exploded for 37 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead the Nuggets to a 126-121 win on Sunday. After struggling during the first three games of the series, Jokic finally got his rhythm back (and a way over Draymond Green) to punish Golden State's thin frontline. He was 14-of-21 from the field, though he did commit seven turnovers.

In the process, Jokic recorded his eighth playoff game with a 35-5-5 stat line. As ESPN Stats and Info noted, it is the most in Nuggets history–with others combining for just a total of seven.

Nikola Jokic is singlehandedly carrying the Nuggets. While he did get help from Aaron Gordon, Monte Morris and Bones Hyland in Game 4, the win wouldn't have been possible without him.

Sure enough, Denver will need their superstar to be as effective and dominant as he was on Sunday when they head to Game 5 of the series. They are still trailing the Warriors 3-1, so there is no room for any mistake now.

If there is one thing going for them, though, it's the fact that Jokic and the Nuggets are no longer new to coming back from 3-1 leads.
