Nikola Jokic is a good basketball player. He powered the Denver Nuggets to another win, beating the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night, 138-130. The Joker messed around and got another monster triple-double of 46 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. You know, just Jokic things.
For good measure, as if he didn't do enough, Jokic also added three steals and four blocks. With this, the Nuggets star recorded a feat not made in the NBA since LeBron James in 2010. Curiously, The King, who was then with the Miami Heat, did it against the Nuggets (via ESPN's Matt Williams).
Nikola Jokic is the first player to record a 40-point triple-double and 4 blocks in a game since LeBron James in 2010 vs the Nuggets.
LeBron also did this in OT.

Jokic also became only the second player in NBA history to record a 45-point triple-double while shooting 70% from the field, duplicating the feat of the late great Wilt Chamberlain (via StatMuse).

Jokic has almost single-handedly led the Nuggets this season, with Jamal Murray still recovering from an ACL injury and Michael Porter Jr.'s season getting cut short due to a back injury. Even without his fellow stars, the reigning MVP has carried the team to a 37-26 record and the no. 6 spot in the Western Conference.
But with news surfacing that MPJ could return this month and Murray possibly seeing action in the NBA Playoffs, Jokic and the rest of the Nuggets must have heaved a sigh of relief.
This is the part where we obligatory recall that guys like Glenn Robinson III, Cleanthony Early, KJ McDaniels, Josh Huestis, and CJ Wilcox were drafted before Jokic.
