Many believe that Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is slated to have a huge season this year. Well, right off the bat, the 23-year-old Serbian is already making the pundits look good by notching his first triple-double of the season. However, what makes his performance even more impressive is the fact that the 7-foot big man shot a perfect 11-of-11 from the field en route to making history.
According to a reddit basketball historian that goes by the username u/moreyball, Jokic's perfect shooting night is only one of four instances in the entire history of the league wherein a player went 100 percent from the field while scoring at least 35 points.
Jokic's final stat line on the evening? 35 points on 11-of-11 shooting, three three-pointers, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, four steals, one block, and amazingly, zero turnovers. The fourth year man also sank 10 out of his 11 attempts from the charity stripe in 31 minutes of actions.

More importantly, Jokic's astounding performance led to a victory for his Nuggets. The team defeated the Phoenix Suns 119-91, bringing the Nuggets to 2-0 to start the new campaign.
This victory comes at the heels of the Nuggets' opening night win against the Los Angeles Clippers. Jokic was also outstanding in that one, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal, and a block.
The Nuggets went all in on Jokic over the summer, handing their cornerstone star a cool five-year, $148 million extension. The former 41st overall pick is already paying dividends, and by the looks of things, the team should get the returns on their investment sooner rather than later.
