The Denver Nuggets have become a title contender this season, thanks in large part to All-Star big man Nikola Jokic. The Joker is putting up 20.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game this year, and should he maintain such production until the end of the regular season, he will achieve a historic feat:

What's more impressive is that Jokic will likely achieve this statistical accomplishment at the age of 24. This is a good sign for Denver, as the five-year veteran is already giving them a glimpse of what he can do for the franchise for a very long time.

Jokic has yet to reach his prime, and when he does, the Nuggets will be an even more dangerous team. They have already surrounded Jokic with young talent who also have tremendous upside. Guys like Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Will Barton, Malik Beasley, and Michael Porter Jr. make Denver a contender for years.

The Nuggets are one of the teams expected to give the Golden State Warriors a run for their money in the playoffs, and Nikola Jokic will play a major role in their quest to dethrone the two-time champs. He has undoubtedly taken the role of the team's go-to guy, and he will be the biggest key to their postseason success.
