The Golden State Warriors are facing the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Cup group stage play, and they have a few players who are on the injury report. It's the Warriors' Big 3 who are dealing with injuries, as Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler could miss another game. Curry is dealing with an illness, Green has a right rib contusion, and Butler has a right low back strain.
All three missed the past game against the Sacramento Kings, and some are wondering will the same will happen against the Nuggets. If they want to keep their NBA Cup chances alive, it would be good for them to be on the floor. Curry has already been ruled out ahead of time, so it would be up to Green and Butler to carry the load if they play.
Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler's injury status vs. Nuggets
Green is listed as probable, and Butler is listed as questionable for their game against the Nuggets. That sounds like good news for the most part, and Butler may be able to give it a go. Butler has dealt with injuries on and off throughout the past few years, and he knows the importance of being available, which is why more times than not, he ends up playing through the injury if he can.
The Warriors beat the Nuggets earlier in the season, but everyone was healthy and on the floor at that time. It won't be an easy matchup, especially with Nikola Jokic finding his groove over the past few games and averaging a triple-double once again. Green is usually the player who guards Jokic, so he will have his hands full, but he believes in his ability to contain him.
As for Butler, he'll have to worry about the other players the Nuggets have on the perimeter.
