Early in the season, the Golden State Warriors are dead last in a certain NBA free throw statistic.
Statistics from ESPN reveal that the Warriors are -16 in free throws attempted in the season, which places them in 30th place. In 29th place is the Sacramento Kings with -9.7 FTA.
This is a premature statistic but it could still be taken as a signal with respect to the Warriors' offense and the referees' calls.
Are the Warriors easily slicing their way to the hoop with the opposing team offering little to no resistance? Or are the Warriors simply not driving to the hoop?

Either way, it's too early in the season to come up with conclusions. It's a fact that the Warriors possess one of the most sophisticated offenses in the NBA. They also house the likes of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant — two premier offensive talents who, when they see fit — could easily fish for a foul.
As the season progresses, one should expect the free throw attempts statistics to change, and the Warriors' rankings to improve.
