Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers says the franchise is recruiting superstar small forward Kevin Durant to stay with the Warriors “every day.”
Durant could become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends if he declines his 2019-20 player option with Golden State, something the two-time Finals MVP will do since he can make more money in the open market.
Myers says one of the foundations of a good organization is paying attention to players and talking to them even while they are under contract.

Since joining the Warriors back in the summer of 2016, Kevin Durant has won two straight Finals and Finals MVPs. There's a sense around the league KD will leave Golden State in the summer if the Dubs capture their third straight title this season to embark on a new challenge elsewhere.
Myers and the Warriors are probably aware of that rumor and it's why Golden State has already started talking to KD to get a feel of where he's at.
