Golden State Warriors superstar small forward Kevin Durant becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Warriors.

Durant has won two-straight championships and Finals MVPs since joining the Dubs back in 2016. Barring something unforeseen happening in the 2019 playoffs, Durant and the Warriors will likely capture their third-straight title.

Despite all the success Durant has had with Golden State, all season long we have heard from various reports that the former MVP is probably going to leave the team in free agency. The buzz from executives and scouts around the league continues to suggest Durant is ready to leave the Warriors this summer, according to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report.

The buzz from various executives, scouts and media members suggests that Durant is ready to move on. Thompson, if offered the max, will stay. If not, he too could exit. The Warriors may not be able to match market value for Cousins.

Durant has been linked to joining the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Both teams have cap space this summer to sign max contract players like KD.

It's going to be interesting to see what Durant decides to do. The Warriors are the best team in the NBA, but for some reason, it seems like KD doesn't feel appreciated there.
