Draymond Green's low point of the 2018-19 NBA season was getting into a heated altercation with Kevin Durant after a loss to the L.A. Clippers early in the season, yet it might have been the saving grace that got the Golden State Warriors back on the road to a three-peat.
Green recently said in an interview with NBA TV's Rosalyn Gold-Onwude that he has no regrets for what took place earlier in this campaign, but noted he was embarrassed for how he acted with Durant.

“In that situation, the only thing that mattered to me was Kevin. How does Kevin feel? What does Kevin think? How do I fix that with Kevin? It was never about anyone else or anything else.”
Green was suspended after that game and then sat out a few games due to a toe injury, but the road trip served as time for the two to make amends and start building their chemistry again.
“If anything that hurt me to know that is a guy who I have a great relationship with, who trusts me,” said Green. “It's much more than basketball. This had nothing to do with basketball, it was more so life. This is a guy who has been through some things in his life that I know that I understand… We kind of shared that trust. That hurt me more than anything.”
Durant said the right things, Green listened. That alone allowed for the two to air things out and get back on the same page with one clear goal in mind.
