The Golden State Warriors saw a lot of potential in center James Wiseman, as the Warriors picked him number two overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. Forward Draymond Green has taken Wiseman under his wing, offering lots of wisdom to the rookie.

Green reflected on his role of helping Wiseman develop into a better player.  As one of the best defensive players in the league, he knows a thing or two about playing with passion and aggression. The Warriors veteran sat down with ESPN's Rachel Nichols and talked about how he has taken the responsibility of mentoring Wiseman in his first season in the NBA:

In the interview, Green mentioned that he is always vocal with the rookie on the court. This communication aspect of Green's game was always there, as he constantly got on Klay Thompson's case when they were both young guys on the team.

Green wants to see Wiseman develop into one of the NBA's best centers, and he has the tools to mold not only Wiseman into a team player but the rest of the youth on the Warriors roster.

The Warriors are not the team they used to be, and if they want a chance to compete in the playoffs this season, each player head coach Steve Kerr sends on the court has to play to their best ability. Green's leadership will undoubtedly help Wiseman transform into the competitor Golden State needs him to be if they want to be successful.
