There are no days off for Golden State Warriors' floor leader Draymond Green. A team executive revealed that Green will be in the room with the front office on draft night.

As reported by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, general manager Bob Myers said that Green will join the front office come draft night, just like Kevin Durant last year:

“He just loves basketball,” Myers said of Green. “I mean: What’s he doing here? He’s at our draft workout on a whatever day’s today — Tuesday. And stays. He came in the draft room yesterday. That’s the kind of guys you want. That’s our business: Basketball. To have a guy like him, a three-time champion, care about who we’re taking at 28, that’s leadership.”

As early as now, Green seems to be already part of the decision-making process for the team. Though the last word on who to pick will evidently belong to the Warriors' executives, Green's voice will definitely influence their decisions.

Myers even admitted that Green knows more about basketball than them. He said that maybe Green should make the selection:

“Having Draymond around always makes everything a little more entertaining. Who am I to say I know more than Draymond Green about basketball? It’s probably the other way around. If you want somebody who’s opinion should hold some weight — he watches college, he comes to the workout, maybe he should make the pick.”

To recall, Green was a second-round pick (35th overall) back in 2012. Now, he's considered to be the Warriors' leader. He doesn't necessarily pad the stats. It's his voice and leadership that make him a valuable part of their impending dynasty.
