With the Denver Nuggets right on their heels, the Golden State Warriors had plenty of motivation entering the match-up of the top two teams in the Western Conference on Tuesday night. But needless to say, this proved to be enough for them as they once again dominated the Nuggets, putting a stranglehold on the first seed.
The defending champions' offense is brewing over the past few games, and an indication of this is their outstanding ball movement. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Golden State became the first team since the 2007 Phoenix Suns to have four consecutive 20-assist halves.
The Warriors had 20 assists in the first half on Tuesday night. It was their fourth straight game with at least 20 assists in a half. They’re the first team to do that since Steve Nash’s 2007 Suns.
Golden State finished with 36 assists on Tuesday, with Draymond Green leading the team with nine. Four other Warriors finished with four assists or more.

The Warriors always seem to show out against Denver, especially after the Nuggets defeated them in their first matchup of the season. Since then, Golden State has dominated their last three contests, all of which are blowouts.
Their win last night not only put them two games above the Nuggets, it also proved that they are simply in a different class from the team with the second best record in the conference.
It's April, and the Warriors are gearing up for a third straight run at an NBA championship. With the stat above, it looks like they are shaping into form just in time for the playoffs.
