We really don’t need any more reminders of how good the Golden State Warriors are on offense, but they just keep on finding ways to surprise basketball fans and experts alike.

Just take for example this statistical tidbit: The gap between the Warriors' league-best true shooting percentage (62.9) and that of the second-best team, which is the Houston Rockets (59.1), in that category is bigger than the difference in true shooting percentage between the Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers (55.5), the 12th team in that department.

While it may sound like a more confusing way to say that the Warriors are on a different level of their own, it highlights the otherworldly efficiency of Golden State when it comes to making baskets.

For the uninitiated, here is a definition of true shooting percentage from Sporting Charts:

A statistic in basketball used to gauge shooting efficiency that takes into consideration points scored from three pointers, field goals and free-throws to get a measure of points scored each shooting attempt.

It is calculated as follows:

Points / (2 * (FG Attempts + 0.44 * FT Attempts))

The Warriors own the best field goal percentage and three-point shooting percentage in the NBA right now and they could have gotten a higher true shooting percentage if only they were shooting better than 81.4 percent from the foul line –  good for only fourth in the league.

Apparently, they’re historically great, but they're still not perfect.
