Here’s an unsolicited advice for future NBA players: always review your Twitter timelines before draft day. Newly drafted Golden State Warriors guard Jacob Evans obviously did not get that kind of memo, as his tweet from way back in 2016 is still up online, and it’s something he probably does not want to get seen by his now-teammate and two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant.
What exactly is the tweet we’re talking about here? Check it out below.
Damn KD to the Warriors. 😪🙄
— ️Jacob Evans III (@JacobEvans_1) July 4, 2016
In case it gets deleted, here’s the text of that tweet in verbatim.

“Damn KD to the Warriors.”
Well, it’s not really a biting remark from Evans, but it was also the same reaction most people had when they learned Durant was moving to the Bay Area in 2016.
The Warriors took Jacob Evans off the board using their no. 28 pick in the first round.
Evans projects to be a nice addition to an already loaded Warriors unit that does not really need a high-profile draftee to succeed. Evans is a low-maintenance player with a no-nonsense approach on the basketball court. He played for three seasons under a great head coach in Mick Cronin in Cincinnati, during which he averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He plays at both ends of the floor and could give a little bit of everything for the Warriors.
