Since coming to the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant has taken paycuts. With Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala on the roster, he hasn't had much of a choice.
Durant sacrificed some money for championships.
Now, though, Durant wants to get paid, according to Ryan Nagelhout of Dime Magazine:
“I just want to make sure I get as much money as I can on my next deal so I can stack up my money and figure it out,” Durant said. “That’s the plan: play basketball and stack money.”
Hmm.
This is definitely an indication that Durant may end up going elsewhere over the summer, as it's pretty much common sense that other teams can offer him more money than the Warriors given the Dubs' salary cap situation.

The New York Knicks are a rumored destination for Durant, and we know LeBron James would love to have KD in Los Angeles. Also, dare we include the Oklahoma City Thunder as a potential landing spot, ergo James and Cleveland in 2014?
Durant then added that “nobody” can recruit him anymore, meaning that this next free agency decision is going to be entirely his own doing.
Through 34 games this season, Durant is averaging 29 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.1 blocks over 35.7 minutes a night while shooting 50.7 percent from the floor, 36.5 percent from three-point range and 92.5 percent from the free-throw line.
He is currently in his third year with Golden State and is aiming to win his third straight title as a member of the team.
