Kevin Durant didn't hesitate when asked if he would be willing to return to the Golden State Warriors next season, following a playoff career-high 43 points in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

“Yeah, yeah,” Durant said, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports. “Everything, the money and stuff that's got to, the contract got to (be) worked out, but I plan on being here. I said that earlier this year. I didn't plan on anything else. But this is the NBA, and anything can happen. And I know that anything can happen.”

Durant notably gave the Warriors a massive discount last season, and after declining his 2018-19 player-option, is now due for a big payday — looking to net a long-term agreement that will keep him in the Bay Area for the long haul.

The team is likely to make this deal its main priority, letting Klay Thompson become an unrestricted free agent next summer before booting up conversations, with Draymond Green looming soon after in the 2020 offseason.

The Warriors are bound to get extensive revenue from their new state of the art Chase Arena that is bound to open in San Francisco, as well as the booming TV revenues that have helped the increase of the salary cap every season.

Asked about his counterpart LeBron James, who also has a major free agent decision of his own, Durant remained rather noncommittal about James' potential destination.

“I have no clue,” Durant said. “I mean everybody can speculate. This guy over here who works for ESPN, I'm sure he's got a theory. I just don't believe it. I don't believe anything in this NBA thing until I see it.”
