The lack of triple-doubles used to be the knock on the Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green just a couple of games into their series against the Houston Rockets to which head coach Steve Kerr dismissed as a “bunch of crap.”

Green responded with two straight double-doubles (snaring a grand total of 30 boards) and just narrowly missing double-digit assists with six and eight assists on each, somewhat quelling murmurs about his triple-double efforts.

Unfortunately, a bigger problem arose: Turnovers.

Prior to Game 6, the burly forward already had 11 miscues after just having one in the previous game. This was most evident in the dying seconds of their Game 5 loss in which he fumbled a pass from guard Stephen Curry by attempting to drive while not having the ball secured yet (the play looked to be a simple dribble handoff and pin down for Curry), which all but secured the win for the Rockets. A few possessions earlier, Green also tried to make a play instead of calling a timeout, eliminating their chances to inbound in the halfcourt.

Last night's game was a different story, with the 6-foot-7 Michigan State alum having an all-around efficient game highlighted by a near 3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio, and chipping in four blocks and five steals that would make a Fantasy owner happy if the season was still on.

Speaking to reporters, Steve Kerr joked that the 2012 Wooden All-American was paying homage to the man.

John Wooden is considered to be one of the greatest coaches of all time and his adage “Be quick – but don't hurry” remain a popular saying and has even been turned into a book along with Andrew Hill.
