A key moment that turned the tide for the Golden State Warriors' season is still a forgotten memory for head coach Steve Kerr, who can't remember an off-camera heated exchange between his starters Kevin Durant and Draymond Green at the end of an early-February loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The clip, which went viral after a fan filmed the two Warriors passionately pointing fingers at each other, was one of the most controversial — shining light into the inner workings of a team trying to get in mid-season shape.

“I don't, I was drinking beer in the locker room,” said Kerr when asked if he remembered the moment. “I was on my third beer, we had a catered meal. I had Chipotle going, I was watching the game and I didn't even see that happen.”

Durant recently explained the interaction as the two “mo***rf***ed” each other during the timeout, as Green held him accountable for not being aggressive enough in what proved to be his worst-scoring game of the season after totaling 10 points.

The Warriors had fallen to the Kings, but it served as a lesson learned for Durant to look for opportunities to score the ball instead of trying to fit in with the scheme and look for his other teammates. This aggression paid off big time in the playoffs, as he led the team in scoring while creating opportunities for the rest of the team.
