Kevin Durant and Draymond Green have had several fiery exchanges on-court as teammates, but the Golden State Warriors' frontline tandem remains one of the closest among the Dubs. So don't be surprised if they manage to pull the rug on opponents with sly plays such this one they executed to perfection against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In their preseason opener, Green and Durant connected for an exhilarating sequence that got the decibel level up at an already-noisy Oracle Arena. After picking up the rebound, the do-it-all power forward wasted no time in heaving the ball toward their end as he saw a speeding Durant, leading to a breakaway slam for the two-time Finals MVP.

For what it's worth, that play also mirrors a similar connection from their yearly Finals foes in the Cleveland Cavaliers as long chest passes from Kevin Love to LeBron James have graced the highlight reels for four years. It is safe to say, though, that the Warriors and Cavs will finally break their streak of June meetups.
The Timberwolves defeated the Warriors, 114-110. Draymond Green registered only two points but also had four rebounds, eight assists, and a block in just 20 minutes of action. Meanwhile, Durant had 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists. All four Warriors stars played 20 minutes each.
Derrick Rose and Jeff Teague led the visiting team with 16 and 17 points, respectively.
