After just two quarters of basketball, things are already getting heated between Texas rivals Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs at the Toyota Center on Monday.

Facing the NBA's most lethal scorer in James Harden, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has fielded different defenders in an effort to slow down the MVP candidate.

After getting tangled up with Dejounte Murray in the first quarter, Harden was defended by another capable defender in Lonnie Walker IV in the second period. The play stopped in the 7:29 mark of the second after Harden inadvertently caught Walker with a right elbow to the jaw as he drove to the basket.

Officials were quick to whistle Harden for an offensive foul, as Walker covered his mouth in pain and had to leave the ball game momentarily to get his bleeding mouth checked.

This isn't the first time Harden was involved in an elbowing incident, as he was once on a receiving end of a devastating hit from retired player Ron Artest while he was still playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2012.
