It might not be long before the Indiana Pacers get to see their newest swingman in Caris LeVert back in action. Less than two months after his kidney surgery, the 26-year-old is finally getting closer to making his Pacers debut. The positive news about LeVert's health was disclosed by head coach Nate Bjorkgren ahead of their upcoming road trip.

“Caris LeVert played in practice today,” Bjorgkren said (via Indiana Pacers). “He's getting closer and closer, it won't be too much longer.”

According to Bjorkgren, LeVert might even suit up as soon as this upcoming road trip that starts against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.

“I think there's a chance. I can't speak out of turn on it. I think there's a chance we see him,” Bjorkgren said about the possibility of LeVert playing within the next few games (via J. Michael of Indy Star).

This might be the boost the Indiana Pacers need. They've been outside the playoff picture for most of the 2020-21 season and acquiring LeVert in the blockbuster deal that sent out Victor Oladipo has yet to bear fruit as the former Brooklyn Nets standout hasn't even played for his new franchise.

The Michigan alum has been rolling in the past few seasons and, if healthy, looks to be a key piece of the Pacers' long-term goals. He's a big guard that can basically do anything and everything for his team. Last season, LeVert was averaging a career-high of 18.7 points per game, 4.2 boards, and 4.4 assists. His numbers were pretty much the same this season but he also managed to put up 1.1 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

These are definitely exciting times for the Pacers.
