The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA world in the offseason when they made not one, but two surprising moves. The first was choosing to waive Damian Lillard, and the second was signing big man Myles Turner in free agency. The Myles Turner move was probably most shocking considering how the former lottery pick had endeared himself to the Indiana Pacers organization and fanbase.
Myles Turner made his return to Indiana on Monday for the first time as a member of the Bucks, and while he was able to catch up with some of his former teammates, his reception from the Pacers fanbase was a mixture of cheers and boos. The Pacers also honored Turner with a touching tribute video chronicling his time with the franchise.

The No. 11 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Turner spent the first ten years of his career with the Pacers. During that time, he endured multiple trade rumors each season, and even re-signed on a contract extension following the 2022-23 season.
Turner holds Pacers career averages of 14.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.2 blocked shots with splits of 49.9 percent shooting from the field, 36.2 percent shooting from the three-point line and 77.1 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
As the 2025-26 season has gotten underway, Turner has appeared in six games for the Bucks coming into Monday’s game, at a little over 28 minutes per game. He’s been averaging a career-low 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 blocked shots with splits of 39.3 percent shooting from the field, 34.4 percent shooting from the three-point line and 50 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
As of publication, the Pacers and Bucks were tied nearing the end of the first half, and Turner had seven points, two rebounds and three blocked shots in a little over 17 minutes of play. He was shooting 2-of-3 from the field with both of his shots coming from three-point range, and 1-of-2 from the free-throw line.
