A lot of great players have their own unique way of motivating themselves. For Indiana Pacers All-Star Victor Oladipo, it's through reliving one of the most painful defeats in his relatively young career — the night when then Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James dropped 45 points against Oladipo and his Pacers in Game 7 of last season's first round Playoffs matchup between the two sides.

Oladipo and the Pacers were the visiting team on Saturday against the Cavs, and the 26-year-old shared how he has used such a heartbreaking defeat to fuel his motivation.

“Every time I play here, I sit here in this same locker,” he said, via the Associated Press for USA Today. “Every time I land in Cleveland, I think about it. I watched it all summer, probably about 75 times. It's all I thought about.”

On that fateful night, James scored 45 big points in front of a frenzied Quicken Loans Arena crowd en route to a series-clinching Game 7 victory. Unfortunately for Oladipo, he was on the opposite side, and had to witness first hand such an epic performance from arguably the best player in the planet today.

Nonetheless, the Pacers guard refuses to let this harsh experience go to waste. As he admits, he has reviewed the game countless times and relived each moment in search of answers.

It appears that this tough learning process has somehow paid dividends for Oladipo. It was a successful return to Cleveland for him on Saturday, leading his side to a 119-107 victory against the LeBron-less Cavs.
