Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers took LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to seven games in their opening series during last years playoffs, and that has given Oladipo some confidence.
Oladipo was asked by TMZ Sports who he would like to see come to Indiana during free agency and without hesitation, Oladipo said LeBron James.
“If you want to win, come to Indy,” the NBA's most improved player said.
The Pacers have been eliminated each of the last two years by the Cavs so it would be in the best interest for the Pacers to make a run at James, but it still seems like a longshot that he would come to Indiana.
If James decides to leave it seems like it will probably come down to three teams, the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets or the Los Angeles Lakers.
It isn't expected that James will take big recruiting trips. Instead, he will be sitting down with his family and deciding what is best for them.
“My family. That’s all that matters,” James told cleveland.com. “I want to continue to win at the highest level, because I know I can still do it as an individual, and then my family. My family is what’s most important to me, more than anything.”
“We make joint decisions all together, all the time. Once we get to it, my agent and my team we will all tackle it the right way but my family plays a big part in it. And winning.”
James wife is from Ohio and that could play into the conversation, but maybe she is ready to move on and leave. This next week is going to be filled with a ton of drama, so buckle up it's going to be a wild ride.
