With a win on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center, the Utah Jazz (46-33) can clinch a spot in the postseason for the second straight season. However, they would still have plenty to accomplish in their final two regular season games.

According to a tweet on Saturday night from Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune, if the Jazz win their final three games of the regular season, they will be the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

With the Portland Trail Blazers' road loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, the Jazz now control their own destiny. The only possible way the Jazz can miss out on the playoffs now is if they lose out the rest of their games.

The Jazz will look to complete the season series sweep of the Lakers (34-45) on Sunday at Staples Center against a Los Angeles team that is limping to the finish line with injuries to a handful of key players.

Ever since their 104-90 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 22 that dropped Utah's record to 19-28, the Jazz have gone 27-5 since and continue to play excellent team basketball down the stretch of the season.

Jazz head coach Quin Snyder should get a lot of consideration for the 2017-18 NBA Coach of the Year award due to his team's drastic turnaround. Utah rookie Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 20.4 points per game, is the highest-scoring rookie in the NBA this season.
