The Utah Jazz are coming off one of their most impressive victories of the 2017-18 NBA season with a solid win over the San Antonio Spurs. Unfortunately, they were unable to carry over that momentum into Saturday night's star-studded matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Despite the 103-89 loss to the Thunder, rookie phenom Donovan Mitchell continues to prove why he is one of the best players in the 2017 NBA Draft. He even earned the respect of Thunder superstars Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony following the game per Def Pen Hoops:

Mitchell returned from a brief two-game hiatus to drop 29 points on an efficient 12-of-16 from the field to go along with five rebounds. Unfortunately, it was not enough to fend off the surging Oklahoma City trio. Still, that did not stop the Thunder “Big 3” from lining up to offer Mitchell some words of encouragement.
Oklahoma City has taken scathing criticism for their underwhelming performance thus far. However, they have now managed to win four straight en route to securing a fifth-place spot in the Western Conference. That said, they have gone through their fair share of trials and tribulations much like Mitchell will go through with the Jazz moving forward.
