The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated headlines this morning after documenting their trip to Madison Square Garden through the subways of New York. It was comical watching LeBron James and company squeeze into a compact space amongst ordinary city folk.

As noted in the video, taking the subway was the most efficient way to help prepare for their matchup versus the New York Knicks. However, their commute did not go unnoticed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

After an inauspicious offseason between Kristaps Porzingis and the Knicks organization, the star big man responded by having arguably the best season of any player so far. “The Unicorn” has since filled in spectacularly as the new face of the franchise after the departure of former President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson and superstar Carmelo Anthony.

Porzingis has averaged 30.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game through the first 11 games of the 2017-18 NBA season. Needless to say, he has been the biggest reason for their surprising 7-5 start. However, they face their biggest test in an elite Cavs team that has been one of the most high-powered offenses in the league this year. Regardless of the outcome, it is clear that the city of New York has Porzinigis' back for years to come.
