Irving, now 26 years of age, is coming off of a great game. The former Duke Blue Devil racked up a career-high eight steals vs. the Heat on Monday night, adding 26 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, two 3-pointers and one block. In doing so, he became the first Celtic since Larry Bird to record 20-plus points and 10-plus assists in at least 10 games during a season.
“That's what I'm supposed to be doing, be aggressive,” Irving told ESPN after Monday's game. “That's pretty much it.”
In his 42 appearances with the Celtics this season (all starts), Irving has posted averages of 23.5 points on 50.1 percent shooting from the field (41.3 percent from beyond the arc), 6.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 32.5 minutes per outing.

Marcus Morris, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will also see an uptick in their usage rates.
In other Celtics-related injury news, Al Horford will also be held out of Wednesday's game for rest. As a result, Aron Baynes will likely draw a start at center.
