Newly-acquired Los Angeles Lakers point guard Isaiah Thomas turned a lot of heads on Saturday when he made his debut for the team. Despite coming off the bench, he showed off his current form and played very well on the night, finishing with 22 points, one rebound and six assists. He also proved that he can fit in well with his new teammates, coaches and the system the Purple and Gold have in place.

The two-time All-Star was asked to share his thoughts about his debut as a member of the Lakers and he admitted that he felt good throughout the game. He then added, via Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times, that he thinks he even got his “powers” back.

Thomas made it known prior to Thursday's trade deadline that he prefers to stay put with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he was still ultimately dealt. Now with his third team in the last eight months, he may have a chip on his shoulder to show everyone that he is still an elite player in the league and deserves to be thought of as a cornerstone of a franchise.

A lot of questions have already emerged since landing with the Lakers, like what his exact role will be and how he'll accept being a sixth man for them with Lonzo Ball being their starting point guard. However, if he continues playing like how he did on Saturday, he can turn out to be a very important part of the team's rotation, and could even receive more playing moving forward, as he has the ability to take over games night in and night out.
