Lonzo Ball’s shooting woes continued on Tuesday night during the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls. Despite finishing with 14 rebounds and four assists, he was only able to score eight points, on 3-of-13 shooting.
However, the Lakers' prized rookie is still confident he’ll be able to put his shooting struggles all in the past soon.
When asked what he thinks is causing him to miss most of his attempts from the field, the 20-year-old UCLA product said that it’s just a matter of him not making open shots. He then added, via the Mason and Ireland Show on ESPN LA Radio, that he will continue shooting during games, as he believes his shots will eventually fall.

Through 18 games, Lonzo Ball is only shooting only 30.8 percent from the field, including 23.0 percent from beyond the arc. The good news for him though is he has been able to make up for it with his 7.4 assists, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in 33.1 minutes per game. The Lakers badly need to see him improve on his shooting, as they are currently trying to get back to .500.
Should Lonzo Ball’s belief become reality, it will be a huge confidence boost to him and his team. It will result to the defense paying more attention to him, which will make it easier for his teammates to score in return. That would be the ideal scenario for the Lakers, which should also translate to them winning more games by then.
