Following the Los Angeles Lakers' come-from-behind win over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night at Staples Center, head coach Luke Walton opened up to the media about Lonzo Ball's performance. After the Lakers trailed the Bulls by as many as 19 points in the third quarter, Los Angeles stormed back to top Chicago 103-94 behind a valiant effort in the second half.

According to ClutchPoints' own Ryan Ward, coach Walton reiterated that Ball has a winner's mentality and is an exceptional rebounder.

Ward tweeted that Walton was impressed with the clutch plays Lonzo Ball made toward the end of the game.

“We were expecting what we got. Which is him to make winning plays,” Walton said. “They were pressuring our guards all night, they were getting us out of our offense.”

Despite another shaky shooting night in which he went 3-of-13 from the field, Ball finished with eight points, a team-high 13 rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Ward also tweeted that Walton has a great deal of confidence in Ball's decision-making skills in crucial situations.

“Obviously, whenever he is on the floor, especially down the stretch, you feel confident with the decisions he is going to make,” Walton said of Ball.

Lonzo Ball and the Lakers will immediately hit the road to play the Sacramento Kings (4-13) on Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena. The contest, which is scheduled to tip off shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET, will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and locally on Spectrum SportsNet.
