Even with all the expectations on the Los Angeles Lakers this season, they have not lived up to it so far as they only have an 11-25 record to show. Head coach Luke Walton makes sure, though, they are all kept in check and things are taken one step at a time by his young team.
However, the 37-year-old recently shared that he wants his players to all learn and mature together and Walton does it by keeping them accountable for how they perform on the court. He then added, via Spectrum SportsNet, that the Lakers' desire to win will only help them get better as the season progresses.

Managing egos of young players all used to winning in the past makes it more difficult for Luke Walton to do his job, but with his experience and the support of the Lakers front office, it definitely makes things worthwhile for him.
If Walton continues to motivate his young troops to speed up their development, he understands that the Lakers will benefit from it as they look to make it back to the playoffs soon and finally end their rebuilding process.
