Anthony Davis, now of the Los Angeles Lakers, was asked to name his all-time starting five. Though he could name any player from any team, four of his starters are players who have donned the legendary Purple and Gold jerseys.
As AD told Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times, his all-time starting five included himself, teammate LeBron James, NBA Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal and Magic Johnson, and Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan — oft-considered the greatest of all time.

Time will only tell if Anthony forges himself alongside Johnson and O'Neal as one of the Lakers' greats. Johnson won five titles and was the face of the so-called Showtime Lakers in the 80s.
O'Neal, together with Bryant, formed the best one-two punch duo in the history of the game and won three straight. And of course, everyone in the basketball world knows that Jordan is simply the greatest. He seems to be the gold standard among basketball players as someone they try to match or surpass.
Now, together with James, Davis is in the best position to snag his first title. After getting paid a hefty sum during his time with the New Orleans Pelicans, it seems that Davis' priorities have changed.
There is no doubt that Davis will make an impact in Los Angeles. And if we are to trust Davis' words, he intends on becoming a legend himself.
