At his introductory press conference on Saturday, Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis said he'll put LA's roster “up against anybody.”
The Lakers have two of the top-five players in the world in LeBron James and Anthony Davis. After trading for Davis, Los Angeles signed DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, Quinn Cook, Jared Dudley and Avery Bradley. The Lakers also re-signed Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

A team with LeBron and Davis on it is going to be title contenders. After missing out on Kawhi Leonard, the Lakers did a good job of filling out the roster. Rondo, Davis and Cousins were teammates on the New Orleans Pelicans in 2017-18, so the trio already has a good rapport with one another. Green, Cook, Dudley and Caldwell-Pope are going to space the floor well for the Purple and Gold and Bradley is a defensive pest who will add toughness to the Lakers.
LeBron and AD are second and third, respectively, in NBA history in player efficiency rating. The Lakers have two of the most efficient scorers in league history. The Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz are the other elite teams in the Western Conference. Davis, though, is going to ride with his new teammates.
