The Los Angeles Lakers are no strangers to signature shoe deals. From the iconic Kobe Bryant shoe line to LeBron James' billion-dollar deal with Nike, the purple and gold have become synonymous with high-profile sneakers.
Add Austin Reeves to the list of Lakers with a signature shoe deal. The rookie fan favorite impressed in spurts on the court enough for a shoe company halfway around the world to want him as the face of their sneaker line. The report comes from ESPN sneaker industry expert Nick DePaula:
OFFICIAL: Lakers wing Austin Reaves has signed a multi-year shoe deal with Rigorer, becoming the Chinese brand’s 1st NBA endorser. He’ll headline the War Ender 1.0 Pro shoe next season.

The shoe itself looks pretty fire. Though it's rather flamboyant in its design, the pair would certainly make any hooper stand out on the hardwood.
Austin Reaves is no Alex Caruso, nor is he trying to be the reincarnation of the Bald Mamba. But he certainly endeared himself to a Lakers fan base starved for silver linings during what was a tumultuous season to say the least.
The Lakers rookie is carving out his own path in the NBA, one that now includes his own shoe deal.
