Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel doubled down on his claim that LeBron James should win the MVP this season after he set a new record for the most playoff wins in NBA history.

James officially eclipsed former Lakers guard Derek Fisher for the most postseason victories with 162. It came after Los Angeles’ 112-102 win against the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of their West semis series.

“Nobody impacts winning more than LeBron James,” Frank Vogel said after the Lakers' hard-fought win, per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post.

“That’s true for this season: That’s why he should be MVP. Honestly, it’s probably true in the history of the game. No one impacts winning more than LeBron.”

Now on his 17th season in the league, LeBron James continues to exude excellence at the ripe age of 35. The three-time NBA champion is once again in the MVP conversation after leading the Lakers to the best record in the Western Conference this season.

James only missed the postseason thrice during his 17-year career. He failed to qualify in his first two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers and also missed the cut last year in his first season in Hollywood.

The King made the Finals for a whopping eight straight seasons from 2011-18, and he has made it to the promised land nine times overall. Although his Finals record currently stands at a putrid 3-6 slate, he is in a good position to win that fourth Larry O'Brien trophy this year.

Apart from making history on Tuesday against the Rockets, James put up another marvelous all-around performance in Game 3. The four-time MVP registered a game-high 36 points on 13-of-23 shooting from the field and 4-of-9 from past the arc. James also scattered seven boards, five assists, one steal, and four rejections in 38 minutes of play.
