Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James likes the team he drafted for the 2019 All-Star game and says he knew he was going to take Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving with his first and second pick, respectively.
Team LeBron is pretty stacked. The starters are James, Durant, Irving, Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard and Houston Rockets guard James Harden.
The reserves are New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis, Warriors guard Klay Thompson, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, Philadelphia 76ers point-forward Ben Simmons, San Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns, Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, and Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade.
Davis, of course, was heavily linked to the Lakers in trade rumors before Thursday's deadline.
After looking at the roster, it's easy to see why James is happy about the team he drafted.

LeBron on All-Star Draft: "I knew who I was going with my 1st and 2nd pick, cause (Giannis had) already stated he was going Steph, so I knew I was going w/KD and Ky. I got shuffled a little bit after he picked Embiid; I had to kind of change my thing around, but I like my team."

Durant was James' first pick last season as well. LeBron and KD are universally recognized as the top two basketball players in the world.
James and Irving, of course, were teammates for three seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, so they have familiarity with each other. Leonard is arguably the best two-way player in the NBA, while Harden could win his second consecutive MVP this season with the way he's scoring the ball.
The NBA All-Star game is in Charlotte this year. The game takes place on Sunday, February 17.
