The Los Angeles Lakers are heading back to the NBA Finals for the first time in 10 years, which is the longest they have gone without being in the Finals. Without LeBron James' stellar performance in Game 5 against the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers wouldn't be in this position. James finished with 38 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 117-107 win over the Nuggets.
Shortly after clinching a spot to the Finals, James shared a message on his Instagram:

There's no doubt the job isn't finished yet for LeBron James and the Lakers. When James signed with the Lakers in 2018, his goal was to not only take them to the NBA Finals, but to also win them a championship. During his postgame interview on Saturday, James talked about the job not being done yet:

“We understand we got bigger fish to fry,” LeBron James said on Saturday, via Larry Brown Sports. “We understand there’s a bigger goal but we can’t take this for granted because this doesn’t happen every year to anybody.”
James is making his ninth trip to the NBA Finals in the last 10 seasons. The 35-year-old superstar will have a chance to become the first player to win Finals MVP with three different teams. The Lakers will face either the Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.
The Heat, who currently hold a 3-2 lead over the Celtics, will have a chance to close out the series on Sunday night. The Lakers will surely be watching.
