Since Anthony Davis' celebrated arrival to the Los Angeles Lakers, he and LeBron James have had a very close relationship. Davis even frequented LeBron's house during the offseason, joining him in The King's popular TACO TUESDAY (you have to say that aloud).
But in an alternate universe, the Space Jam: A New Legacy universe to be exact, AD and LBJ aren't BFFs. While LeBron is the clear hero of the movie, Davis will play a villain role as one of the menacing members of the Goon Squad.
Space Jam: A New Legacy has released new images of the Goon Squad on Twitter, including Davis as The Brow, Klay Thompson as Wet-Fire, Nneka Ogwumike as Arachnneka, Damian Lillard as Chronos, and Diana Taurasi as White Mamba.

There's probably not a bunch of more talented villains in movie history. Davis and company sure look cool as well and they should really pose a challenge to LeBron and the Tune Squad.
The sequel to Michael Jordan's iconic Space Jam initially received a lukewarm welcome from fans, but since the release of the much-awaited trailer of Space Jam: A New Legacy, it seems more people got hyped. Or perhaps maybe some of them just want to see LeBron suck.
At the very least, it would be interesting to see how Davis will play as a foil to LeBron in the film since we've been accustomed to seeing them as a one-two punch. Will AD block LeBron's shot back to Earth? Will his unibrow alter the fate of an entire planet?
Space Jam: A New Legacy will be released on July 16. Let's hope LeBron James and Anthony Davis will have a viewing party. With TACOS! of course.
