Magic Johnson and Adam Silver at times didn't seem like the best of friends. Last summer Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers were fined $500,000 by Silver and the NBA when Johnson went onto the Jimmy Kimmel show for comments about Paul George.
Most believe that fine was warranted as it was a clear violation of the tampering rule. Just a few weeks ago Magic Johnson and the Lakers were fined $50,000 dollars when Johnson made these comments about Giannis Antetokounmpo to ESPN:
“With his ball-handling skills and his passing ability. He plays above the rim I never could do that. But in his understanding of the game, his basketball IQ, his creativity of shots for his teammates. That’s where we [have the] same thing. Can bring it down, make a pass, make a play. I’m just happy he’s starting in the All-Star game because he deserves that. And he’s going to be like an MVP, a champion, this dude he’s going to put Milwaukee on the map. And I think he’s going to bring them a championship one day.”
Even though Johnson never said anything about Antetokounmpo being a Laker, or even trying to get him to Los Angeles, he was still hit with another big fine.

But it appears those two penalties haven't put any type of strain on the relationship between the Lakers executive and the commissioner.
Early today, Johnson tweeted out a photo of the two guys together.

If any more fines come down from the league office, this might be a different story. But right now, everything looks to be good between the two.
