Andre Drummond is closing in on his decision on where to sign next. Reports have claimed that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics remain as the two frontrunners to bring in the two-time All-Star center.

The reigning champs, however, reportedly still have the upper hand since they can offer an opportunity that's hard to refuse, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Lakers' experiment with Marc Gasol this season has obviously not worked. They're still trying to improve their center situation since losing Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee in the offseason. Drummond, of course, would be a godsend for Lakers head coach Frank Vogel right now, especially with his two best players in LeBron James and Anthony Davis nursing injuries.

Drummond also seems intrigued by Tinseltown, even claiming in the past that he one day hopes to team up with LeBron. This might be his chance.

Then again, the Celtics can also offer the same opportunity for Drummond since they have also been searching for that one dominant center for years now.

Plus, the 27-year-old slotman will have a chance to be teammates with healthy All-Stars Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker, while it might take some time before Drummond sees the floor with LeBron and AD.

The Lakers could give Drummond a starring role at the moment and a chance to prove he's still one of the best bigs in the league today. On the other hand, he'll have more help right away if he does move to Beantown.

The other hot commodity in the buy-out market, LaMarcus Aldridge, has already made his decision and joined the Brooklyn Nets. It's only a matter of time before Drummond makes his choice.
