So far, Larry Nance Jr. is known by many as simply a dunker. Seeing him run the floor and always looking to slam the ball brought excitement to the Staples Center, and other arenas for that matter.
In his rookie year, the 6’9” power forward averaged only 5.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game for Los Angeles. But Nance is betting on a different outcome in year two. He recently spoke with Mike Bresnahan of Time Warner Cable SportsNet and one of the things discussed was his seemingly improved shooting mechanics.
That was just a little trial run, that’s what Summer League is. It went pretty well, I thought I shot it alright, rushed a few, but that’s definitely something you can expect to see during the season.

He could really use some new tricks especially on his jump shot as his percentage from 10 to 16 feet was an atrocious 34.5%.
Let’s see if Larry Nance Jr. could mix it up next season as the Lakers continue to rebuild. Time will come wherein the team will be reassessing its roster and direction, so Nance would not want to be on the bitter end of forthcoming decisions.
