LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers easily won a contest over the New Orleans Pelicans Friday evening by a score of 112-104.
Five Lakers were in double-digits, but most importantly LeBron James dropped another triple-double, his third as a Laker.
Per Elias Sports Bureau, no player in NBA history has more triple doubles after their 16th NBA season. What LeBron is doing in his age 33 season is not just remarkable, but unprecedented. He should not be this good this far into his career.

LeBron James has been an MVP candidate this season for the Lakers. He's single-handedly led the team to a winning record and has learned how to play well with Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart. Even Brandon Ingram has developed his ability to lead the second unit as the primary ball-handler.
For the season James is averaging 28 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7 assists per game while shooting 52 percent from the field.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
“Each case is assessed on its own facts. In general, absent evidence of team coordination or other aggravating factors, it is not tampering when a player makes a comment about his interest in playing with another team’s player.”
The Lakers are currently 19-13 on the season, ranking fourth in the NBA's Western Conference under head coach Luke Walton. They play the Memphis Grizzlies next at home on Sunday.
