Somewhere out there, Kobe Bryant is making his infamous scowl.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now two wins away from the title after their convincing Game 2 win over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, and it looks like the Black and Yellow suits the Purple and Gold really well.

The Lakers are still undefeated in four games when rocking their special Black Mamba jerseys used to honor the late Lakers legend. In the postgame interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols, LeBron James said they’re always inspired when they wear the uniform.

“It’s always special to be able to represent someone who meant so much,” said LeBron, who had another near triple-double of 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.

The three-time Finals MVP also said they’re thinking of Kobe’s family and expressed how special they are to Lakers’ quest to win the trophy.

Anthony Davis has also mentioned they don’t want to lose when they’re wearing the Black Mamba jerseys because it would feel like they let Kobe down. He has openly talked about dedicating the season to the former MVP and 18-time All-Star, who tragically passed away last January after a helicopter crash.

Davis definitely did Kobe proud with another monster game for the Lakers, finishing with 32 points on an eye-popping 15 of 20 shooting from the field. He also added 14 rebounds, eight coming from the offensive end as he made mincemeat of the interior defense of the Heat.

It could be remembered that Kobe Bryant took it upon himself to mentor the then-19-year-old AD when they played together for Team USA in the 2012 London Olympics.

Now it seems Anthony Davis is returning the favor, carrying the Lakers one step closer to championship glory.
