The Memphis Grizzlies took down a powerhouse by defeating the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant led the way for the Grizzlies in their 105-88 home victory.
Morant then took to Twitter to celebrate their blowout victory:

Morant's performance on Saturday was as loud as it could get. Yet, he still made sure everyone knew about what he did.
After dropping 27 points and 14 dimes, this 2019 second overall pick dedicated the game to one of his naysayers who claimed he didn't possess the fire he used to have earlier in the season. It seems like the comment motivated the No. 2 overall pick to lead Memphis to a statement win over the best team in the Western Conference.
Morant was aggressive throughout the night and also did a great job getting his teammates involved. Dillon Brooks added 24 points, while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 22 as Memphis snapped a five-game losing skid and earned its first win since the All-Star break.

With the victory, the Grizzlies improved to 29-31 to open up a 2.5-game cushion over the surging New Orleans Pelicans in the race for the the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
The performance on Saturday should give the young Grizzlies squad a confidence boost. Memphis will have one of the tougher remaining schedules this season, while the 26-33 Pelicans have among the easiest.
The youngster appears to play with a massive chip on his shoulder. Some extra motivation to finish the season strong is exactly what the Grizzlies need from their 20-year-old stud as they make their push for the playoffs over the next couple of months.
Ja Morant will also be looking to secure Rookie of the Year as Zion Williamson makes a late push for the award.
